Allan Feldman is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. Prior to opening La Barra, He perfected his craft in New York and Miami, working in some of the finest restaurants including Le Grenouille, Veritas & El Gaucho Room.

The Story
In May 2001, after applying to the Culinary Institute of America, Allan Feldman and three life long friends agreed that, once Allan graduated from school, they would open a restaurant together. After Allan went to school, all four friends took different paths ranging from starting health food companies to graduate school.e
In the summer of 2008, seven years after their agreement, the team starting scouting the streets of New York for the ultimate location. They settled on a small space in the Lower East Side, where Allan could create the plates he wanted, in a cozy atmosphere for friends and couples to gather, have great food and enjoy the company.
The Place
250 Broome Street, located right in between Ludlow & Orchard is in the Heart of the Lower East Side. An up and coming neighborhood, full of life and culinary delights, the residents include a mx of artists, young professionals.
